Burden’s 12 kills lead Chargers in sweep at Kishwaukee

MALTA — Natalie Burden totaled 12 kills as the Sandburg volleyball team breezed to a 25-11, 25-9, 25-13 Arrowhead Conference sweep at Kishwaukee on Monday night.
Burden hit .346 on 26 attempts, and the Chargers (16-3, 2-1) put up a .352 kill percentage as a team in the victory. Burden also had seven digs and an ace against the Kougars.
Taylor Wagner added nine kills, and Ayla Cannon finished with eight kills for Sandburg.
Setter Grace Vyhnanek had 29 assists to go along with two kills, an ace and three block assists. Libero Madeline Mooney picked up 18 digs, and Abigail Shaffer had 13. Shaffer also served two of the Chargers' six aces in the win.
