
Wagner collects 15 kills in Chargers’ loss at No. 10 Warriors
OTTUMWA, Iowa — Taylor Wagner put down 15 kills, but the Sandburg volleyball team lost 25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17 at nationally ranked Indian Hills on Wednesday night.
Wagner's night led the Chargers' attack as she had a .393 hitting percentage on 28 attempts. Natalie Burden also had double-digit kills for the Chargers, totaling 11 against the Warriors, who came in ranked 10th in NJCAA Division I.
Grace Vyhnanek had a team-leading 37 assists, and libero Madeline Mooney picked up 17 digs for the Chargers. Mooney also served two of Sandburg's four aces in the match. Olivia Falborg had two solo blocks in the contest for the Chargers.
Three players reached double figures in kills for Indian Hills, which hit .500 as a team in the match. The Warriors totaled just three errors in the sets they won.
