Chargers Blow by Black Hawk for 14th Straight Conference Win

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team pushed its Arrowhead Conference winning streak to 14 matches with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-15 sweep at Black Hawk on Tuesday night.

Freshman Natalie Burden had a double-double with 10 digs and a team-leading 11 kills. Ayla Cannon and Addison DeSpain each added seven kills for the Chargers (12-3, 3-0). Cannon also tallied six blocks to lead Sandburg and posted a .316 hitting percentage with just one error on the night. DeSpain served up four of the Chargers' five aces in the victory.

Grace Vyhnanek led the Chargers with 29 assists, and libero Madeline Mooney had 19 digs.

Sandburg hit .233 in the match, including .345 with 13 kills in the third set.
