Swan’s Swings Send Sandburg to Sweep at Black Hawk

MOLINE — The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team picked up its second sweep in as many nights Tuesday, easily dispatching Black Hawk 25-9, 25-12, 25-14 in an Arrowhead Conference match.

Sophomore Jadyn Swan put down a team-leading 13 kills on a .579 hitting percentage for the Chargers (8-7, 2-0). Swan also served a team-best four of Sandburg's nine aces and matched Lauren Erke for the team lead with three blocks.

Erke also contributed 10 kills for Sandburg, which hit .301 for the match. Setter Carmyn Baldwin had 30 assists and three aces, and Gracie Rademacker had two aces along with a team-high 14 digs. Libero Jasmin McDaniel also reached double figures defensively, collecting a dozen digs.
