Chargers Bounce Back With Pair of Wins to Close Parkland Tournament

CHAMPAIGN — After dropping a pair of matches to nationally ranked foes Friday, the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team bounced back with two victories Saturday to close out the Parkland School's Back Tournament.

The Chargers (5-6) were swept by the top-ranked host Cobras and lost in five sets to No. 16 Hawkeye before picking up victories over Morton and Kalamazoo Valley. Sophomore Gracie Rademacker had a big weekend for Sandburg, averaging 4.2 kills and 3.1 digs per set in addition to serving seven total aces in the tournament.
