Isenhour, Bentley Lead Chargers in Win Over Kishwaukee

GALESBURG — Lilly Isenhour had a double-double and was nearly perfect from the field as the Carl Sandburg College women's basketball team ran away from Kishwaukee in a 71-50 Arrowhead Conference victory Tuesday night at John Lewis Gym.

KEY MOMENTS
• The Kougars had a 12-10 lead in the first quarter before the Chargers (8-14, 3-3) scored nine straight to end the period and go ahead for good. Abbey Donaldson started the run with a three-point play, and Elly Bentley finished it with three straight buckets.
• Sandburg then opened the second quarter by scoring 14 of the first 16 points for a 33-14 lead. Isenhour closed the run with four consecutive field goals off assists. Two of the feeds came from Donaldson, while Armani Revis and Gracie Sims added the other two. The Chargers went into halftime ahead 36-23.
• Kishwaukee got as close as 54-46 early in the fourth quarter, but Sandburg answered with a 9-0 run that featured a Bentley three-point play as the Chargers closed out their fourth win in the last six games.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Isenhour, who came into the game averaging a double-double, was 9 of 10 from the field as she hit double figures in scoring and rebounding for the 10th time this season. The freshman forward finished with 18 points and grabbed 10 boards, with four coming on the offensive end.
