JOLIET — Three Chargers had three hits in Game 2, but Joliet rallied late to finish a sweep of the Sandburg softball team Saturday.

Key moments
Trailing 5-0 in the top of the third, Ailexa Hunter's two-run single to center got the Chargers on the board, but the Wolves, among those receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III rankings, answered with three runs with the bottom half to open up their lead.
Sandburg standout
Center fielder Bailey Ryan singled twice and walked in her three plate appearances. Ryan scored two runs and stole a base in the loss.

Key moments
• Hannah Pyle hit a two-run home run in the first, and the Chargers added five more runs in the second to jump to a 7-1 lead. In the Chargers' second, Hunter walked with the bases loaded and Pyle was hit with a pitch before Hellige cleared the bases with a three-run double.
• Cheyanne Rodgers hit a two-run homer in the fifth to make it 9-4 Sandburg, but Joliet scored three in the bottom of the fifth and tied it at 9-9 with a pair of sixth-inning runs. A leadoff single and back-to-back bunts loaded the bases for the Wolves in the seventh, and a walk forced in the winning run.
Sandburg standout
Hellige's three-run double was part of a 3-for-4 game. The sophomore pitcher had a single in the first, doubled in the second and singled again in the sixth. The game marked Hellige's second three-hit outing of the season.
