Bio

A Carl Sandburg College graduate, Ryan Twaddle has served as the coach for Sandburg's men's golf team since 2013. During his tenure, the Chargers have qualified as a team or advanced an individual to the national tournament every season. Sandburg's 12th-place finish at the 2013 national tournament was the highest in program history.

Twaddle also has been the Chargers men's basketball coach since the 2007-08 season. In 2014, he guided the Chargers to their first Region IV tournament championship and first appearance in the NJCAA Division II national tournament, helping him earn NJCAA Region IV and NJCAA District 3 Coach of the Year honors. In 2018, he coached Sandburg to its first Arrowhead Conference championship in 28 seasons. The Chargers have played for the Region IV title three times under Twaddle (2014, 2017, 2020).

Prior to becoming the men's basketball coach, Twaddle was an assistant at Sandburg for four seasons under former head coach Mike Bailey. Twaddle graduated from Macomb High School and continued his playing career here, earning two letters in both basketball and baseball. Twaddle lives in Galesburg with his wife Jessica and has a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University.
