Schisler Posts Season-High 13 in Chargers’ Road Loss to Loggers

SPRINGFIELD — Easten Schisler put up a season-best 13 points, but the Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team dropped a road contest 81-59 at Lincoln Land on Monday night.

Schisler finished 5 of 8 from the field and went 3 of 6 from 3-point range to lead the Chargers in scoring. The freshman from Abingdon-Avon High School did his damage in just 15 minutes of action off the bench. Schisler's previous high for points was 12 in back-to-back games, Jan. 18 against Kishwaukee and Jan. 25 at Rock Valley. Monday's outing marked Schisler's third double-digit effort in his last five contests.

Roee Dinnar also reached double figures off the bench for Sandburg, finishing with 10 on 5-of-9 shooting. Jeremiah Babers had nine points, four steals and three assists in the loss.

The host Loggers took a 38-28 lead into halftime and shot 54 percent (32 of 59) for the game. Dane Foster and Camren Kincaid tied for game-high honors with 21 points to pace Lincoln Land.
