CRYSTAL LAKE — The Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team dropped a 90-76 contest at McHenry County on Thursday afternoon.
The Chargers (10-7) trailed 39-34 at halftime and made it a one-possession game several times in the second half but were unable to overcome the Scots.
Jack DuBois had a team-best 15 points in the loss. The freshman scored eight points after halftime and had a 3-pointer among his six field goals in the game.
Koen Derry added 14 points for the Chargers, and Roee Dinnar hit a pair of 3s on his way to finishing with 10 points. David Hise and Jeremiah Babers each scored nine for Sandburg.
Anthony Liuwen and David Onyekonwu each tied for game-high honors with 19 points to pace McHenry County.
