Longstreet Leads Chargers in Scoring, but 6-Game Win Streak Snapped at Harper

PALATINE — Marckell Longstreet scored in double figures for the second straight contest, but the Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team saw its six-game win streak snapped with a 59-58 loss at Harper on Saturday.

Longstreet led the Chargers with 11 points on 5-of-17 shooting. The sophomore added six rebounds in addition to an assist and a steal.

Jack DuBois and Koen Derry each added 10 points for Sandburg (6-5). Dinnar knocked down a pair of 3-pointers, and DuBois also contributed five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Koen Derry and Jeremiah Babers each pulled down seven rebounds to tie for the team lead. Babers finished with nine points in the contest.

James Sinclair had a game-highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Hawks, who trailed 29-27 at halftime.
