Dinnar Drains 5 3s, Scores 25 as Chargers Beat Harper for 3rd Win in a Row
GALESBURG — Roee Dinnar drilled five 3-pointers off the bench as the Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team held off Harper 75-50 on Thursday at John Lewis gym for the Chargers' third straight victory.
KEY MOMENTS
• Down 8-7 in the first half, the Chargers (3-4) went on a 13-2 burst to take a lasting lead. Easten Schisler opened the key stretch with a pull-up jumper, and Dinnar scored 10 points, including a pair of 3s. Sandburg added a 12-2 run in the closing minutes of the first half to open up a 32-16 lead on the Hawks, and the Chargers led 32-19 at halftime.
• Harper got within double digits at 37-28 with 17:20 left, but that was as close as the Hawks would get as Sandburg scored seven of the next 10 points. Koen Derry had five points for the Chargers in the run. He punctuated it by posterizing a Hawks player on a two-handed dunk as he cut down the lane and took a pass from Jeremiah Babers.
SANDBURG STANDOUT
Dinnar pumped in a game-high 25 points off the bench as he went 10 of 19 from the field and hit 5 of 11 from 3-point range. The sophomore from Israel was two points shy of matching his career high, set last season at South Suburban. Dinnar also pulled down four rebounds.

• Derry — 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals
