Longstreet Scores Season-High 13 in Loss to No. 7 Stormers
GALESBURG — Marckell Longstreet and Myles Estrada each scored 13 points, but seventh-ranked Milwaukee Area Tech was too much for the Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team in a 122-73 loss Saturday at John Lewis Gym.
Longstreet's 13 points off the bench were a season high and marked the second time he's reached double figures this season. The freshman did much of his damage from the foul line, going 8 of 10. He also pulled down five rebounds for the second straight game, one away from matching his most in a contest.
Estrada's effort marked the second game in a row he's led or tied for the team lead in scoring. He finished 4 of 11 from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers, and he tied for the team lead with three assists. In his last two contests, Estrada is 6 of 13 from long distance.
Tyrese Grose added 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds for the Chargers.
The Stormers had six players in double figures, led by Ke'Varius Taylor's game-high 20 points.
