Chargers Rally From Double-Digit Deficit for OT Win Against Bees
DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Carl Sandburg College men's basketball team rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit to earn an 86-83 overtime victory at St. Ambrose JV on Monday night.
Freshman guard Nate Hill scored 17 of his game-high 26 points after the break as the Chargers (2-4) came back after trailing 41-30.
The teams went into overtime tied at 78. Freshman Tyrese Grose had six of the Chargers' eight points in the extra session as Sandburg outscored the Fighting Bees 8-5. Grose finished the game with a season-high 12 points, including 10 after intermission.
The Chargers had three other players score in double figures. David Hise finished with 11 points, while Marckell Longstreet and Hunter Caves each added 10.
Casey Crowley and Balene Mitchell each scored 15 to lead St. Ambrose JV.
